Social Media Creates Community Through #MoveforMentalHealthDay

World Mental Health Day took place was October 10, 2020 and social media provided an opportune medium to bring people together from around the world to promote a shared interest: mental health awareness.

The #MoveforMentalHealth initiative, a collaborative campaign by the World Health Organization (WHO), United for Global Mental Health (UGMH) and World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH), aimed to increase awareness of mental health and the lack of funding allocated to the medical condition.

How many people globally suffer from mental illness? A lot.
